You’ve all seen Alec and Rick out there twith the mini-ex and are wondering what’s going on. In short, we are working on what we like to call, “Better than Duthie”.
The guys are roughing in a perimeter trail that will circle the skills valley area and will be about 1 mile in length. This trail is being designed with progressions in mind and will have switchbacks, rock gardens, and other trail features designed specifically for building skills. They are also building some jump lines with progression designed specifically for learning. We will have three jump lines with nice tabletops and gaps.
The progressive wooden drops, removed last year, are going to be rebuilt in a better location with clear sight lines, good entry, and improved landing.
We will be asking for volunteers to help shape the trail. The work will probably be happening on a weekday, so it will be a perfect time for non-traditional schedule folks to come out and help.
