Hey Friends,
Have you seen the new flagging at the top of the downhill course? That area is NOT part of the park; it is developer owned. Access should never be taken for granted, and there are a few parcels up on Beacon Hill that are platted for development.
Remember round one of Conservation Futures and the Beacon Hill Draft Trail Plan in 2010? You are invited to join us for gathering to discuss getting the ball rolling again: revisiting the Conservation Futures process, the trails plan and other options for preserving access. The time to do this is NOW, before developers get the idea to break ground on parcels that could be purchased by County Parks. If you’ve been wondering about something to help with, here’s your opportunity.
Join us Weds Dec 2 for a casual get together to discuss where we go next.
Meet at Argonne Rocket Bakery 6 PM.
