Well folks it’s official, the proposed acquisition has been finalized. Conservation futures and our members/leaders in the community have made it happen.
A special thanks to all that have been involved over the years.
Please note that our work here is not finished and we have much more to do. Beacon Hill will change over the years as development encroaches, but holy cow this is the most progress we have made in over a decade to #MakeBeaconPublic We are talking about 250 acres of dirt here!
THANK YOU!!! The deal nearly fell apart due to the crazy real estate market and increasing values, our members put up $14,000 of donated funds which your Evergreen East board voted to use 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬 to make the final appraisals happen and save the deal (a cascading failure otherwise). This made up for the 300,000 difference, now that’s a return on investment.
If you’re wondering what your membership and support does… BOOM there it is, we couldn’t have done it without our core base of supporters. If you aren’t a member yet, it’s not too late to join the cause (shameless plug). https://www.evergreenmtb.org/support-us/become-a-member
